Public Enterprises Department is the Nodal Department for the State Public Sector Undertakings and their Administrative Departments. This department obtains approval of the Public Investment Board on the proposal for creation of new PSUs, Government investments, enhancement of Authorised Share Capital, Disinvestments etc. They also review and monitor performance of the PSUs. And selection of MD/GM of PSUs are done through the PESB of this Department.

VISION:

Strengthen the State Public Sector Undertakings(PSUs) to make them efficient and financially healthy to contribute towards the socio-economic  growth and development of the State of Assam.

MISSION:

To continuously improve performance of the State Public Sector Enterprises in the State through development of Institutional System and intervention  by  the  way  of  policy  formulation.
